Gain an Advanced Apprenticeship in Maintenance Engineering alongside some excellent work experience based in Atherstone, Warwickshire. This is a varied position and includes; performing abrasive product demonstrations with customers on hand held (grinders, sanders) and workshop equipment (belt sanders, centreless grinders, polishers etc.), support application development activities, support technical training programs, manage day-to-day activities within ASD customer facility – including materials management, provision of sales samples & ensuring good levels of housekeeping.
Engineering is a hugely diverse field and anyone looking to get into an Advanced Engineering Apprenticeship will find that it covers a wide range of job roles. Generally, engineering apprentices will learn to take on an operator role in a certain area of engineering. Most duties will involve the maintenance of equipment and machinery. Through the Advanced Apprenticeship, you can become either a skilled craftsperson or a technician. The apprenticeship begins by learning about work safety, how to communicate technical information and identifying engineering equipment. Working in this field requires a good head for figures and IT literacy. You’ll need good written and verbal communication skills; and you’ll have to be a team player.
