This Intermediate Horticultural Apprenticeship vacancy is based in Bedford, Bedfordshire. No two days will be the same as you work as part of small teams completing commercial grounds maintenance work on parks, open spaces and privately owned land. You will be given full training and support from skilled staff, who will help you develop your skills.  The main duties include; maintaining plants and shrubs, weeding and grass cutting.

An Intermediate Apprenticeship in Horticulture is an excellent way to gain experience in all aspects of the horticultural industry through developing practical hands on skills including plan identification, maintenance and uses, plant production, turf care, landscaping and planting. If you have a passion for nature and the outdoors, common sense, reliability and are a strong team player then this could be the role for you. On successful completion of the apprenticeship, you could progress to an Advanced Apprenticeship or move to permanent employment with this company.

An understanding of plants and shrubs would be an advantage but is not essential

For the duration of your apprenticeship you will be placed with an established company who deliver grounds maintenance services across the Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire areas. They specialise in grounds maintenance contracts offering regular site visits and keep grounds and landscape maintenance at the core of the business to ensure that they maintain the standards their clients expect. They take genuine pride in their work and always keep standards high.

This is an opportunity to gain a recognised qualification and work experience whilst being supported in the workplace by the staff at the business, a dedicated SEAC Account Manager and a training Assessor.
