Job Focus – Apprentice Chef de Partie in London

If you are interested in an Apprenticeship for Catering and Professional Chefs then this is a wonderful opportunity to gain an Intermediate Apprenticeship in Professional Cookery.

You will be based in the kitchen of a Global Investment Management Company in London W6 to provide high quality, healthy breakfasts and lunches. There are two fantastic apprenticeship opportunities available where you will receive outstanding training and mentoring from various team members.

Duties include:

•Working in the kitchen to carry out preparation and making food in line with the stipulated menu standards and service level agreements

•Recording information as required by Food Hygiene and Safety laws

•Ensuring that the methods of preparation and presentation of all food, complies with the companies policies, specifications and legislation. You will take personal responsibility for quality and presentation of the food at all times and actively seek ways to improve them.

•Ensuring all store areas and equipment under your control are clean, tidy and comply with food safety, health and hygiene

•Ensuring adequate stocks of food are maintained, controlled, secured

•Ensuring that all bookwork is completed accurately and any short falls are investigated

•Complying with company Health and Safety procedures and COSHH regulations

•Co-operating and supporting others in the team

•Acknowledging and greeting customers when necessary and following up on requests

This position will best suit a highly motivated apprentice who likes early mornings!

You will gain an Intermediate Apprenticeship in Professional Cookery and obtain some enviable work experience in London. This is a work-based qualification, which will allow you to develop knowledge, understanding and skills essential for working in professional cookery preparation, cooking and working with others and improving your own performance. You will learn to prepare cook and finish dishes using fresh ingredients.

This opportunity is full time for 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm and the wage being offered is £400 per week. 

You will gain a recognised qualification and work experience whilst being supported in the workplace by the staff at the company, a dedicated SEAC Apprenticeship Account Manager and a Training Assessor.
