Admin Apprentice

Apprentice School Receptionist in Chichester

You will be employed by SEAC (an approved Apprenticeship Training Agency) to complete an Advanced Business Administrator Apprenticeship on placement with a lovely school in West Wittering.

Full training and support will be given to carry out a range of Administrative tasks to include:

  • Reception duties for parents, staff and visitors
  • Answering the phone
  • Composing letters, proof checking letters and emails
  • Writing newsletters
  • Monitoring and responding to email enquiries
  • Assisting in lunch duties where necessary
  • Assisting with filing, paperwork and running the school diary
  • Helping to maintain school systems and records
  • Contacting parents
  • Carrying our school tours, policy management
  • Liaising with staff
  • Communicating messages
  • Any other general secretarial duties assigned by the Headteacher 

Training will be provided to become a First Aider.

Desired Skills:

  • Good telephony skills
  • A confident PC user, including use of email systems and has Microsoft Office experience
  • Good organisational skills
  • Able to multi task
  • Having an understanding of GDPR would be an advantage

Required Qualifications:
A good level of education including Maths, English and ICT GCSE at grades 7 - 4 (A - C) or equivalent
Desirable: A Levels or equivalents  / First Aid qualification (training can/will be given)

Working Week:

30 hours per week Monday: 8:20–15:50 / Tuesday: 12:00–15:30 / Wednesday: 8:20–15:50 / Thursday: 8:20–15:20 / Friday: 9:00–15:30. Term Time Only.
