Apprenticeship Vacancies - Job Focus for #NAW2021

SEAC are a well-established Apprenticeship Training Agency who support both Apprentices and ‘Host Companies’. We employ the Apprentice and they then work on placement with a ‘Host Company’ where they receive full training whilst also completing the relevant apprenticeship via a recognised and trusted Training Provider.

This week we have some amazing apprenticeship vacancies that we would like to promote to you:

Customer Services and Sales Support Admin Apprenticeship in Belvedere:

The successful applicant will be employed by SEAC to complete an Intermediate Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship on placement with a global company who pride themselves in being a one-stop supplier of construction supplies, PPE, healthcare and safety equipment. The head office is in London and they have over 10 locations around the world.

We are looking for a proactive and motivated person to support the team who can process sales orders and do other related admin and customer services duties. In addition to processing orders the candidate will also be required to do:

  • Basic admin work
  • Upselling when order taking
  • Sorting customer service queries and issues
  • Answering phones and general reception duties such a making drinks for meetings

Although no experience of the industry is required the candidate must have a basic practical understanding and willingness to learn products.

A friendly, helpful and outgoing disposition is essential be able to form excellent working relationships and understanding of customers.

Full training will be provided.

Future Prospects: This is an excellent opportunity for the applicant to gain excellent Customer Service experience in a live working environment. The vacancy also offers the successful candidate the opportunity to have a long term job beyond the apprenticeship.

Sales Admin Assistant Apprenticeship in Gillingham:

The successful applicant will be employed by SEAC to complete an Intermediate Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship on placement with a leading steel manufacturing company in Kent.

You will join this family run business where you will receive full training to carry out the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Sending quotes to customers on behalf of the sales team
  • Booking on sales jobs
  • Answering incoming calls and dealing with customer queries
  • Sending customers quality certificates for materials
  • Front of house duties
  • Ordering materials as requested by sales team
  • General office duties
  • Any other admin related task as requested by office team

There is a good possibility for the right person, to gain a permanent position with this company on successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Learning Support Assistant Apprentice in Hythe:

The successful applicant will be employed by SEAC (a well-established Apprenticeship Training Agency) to complete an Advanced Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship on placement with an 11-19 Academy with Performing Arts and Rural Dimension status. It is a popular school of approximately 1300 students situated in rural surroundings on the edge of the Cinque Port of Hythe.

You will work under the direction of the class teacher and other support staff, you will undertake classroom support duties and assist the class teacher in the day to day needs of the pupils in their care, to enable the teacher to implement the curriculum and respond to the pupil’s needs.

Full training and support will be given to carry out the following main duties and responsibilities:

  • To maintain complete confidentiality on all school matters
  • To provide support for pupils, teachers, and the school curriculum
  • To carry out school policy as documented and/or as directed by the Principal
  • To present the school in a positive way in the community
  • To be aware of the sensitive nature of information learning during the course of duties and to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • To follow the school policy on Equal Opportunities
  • To be aware of, and have regard to, the Health and Safety policy of the school. To ensure that agreed procedures are followed in the event of an accident or incident
  • To undertake additional duties as required commensurate with the level of the job.

This role may secure a full time position within the college for the right person on completion of their apprenticeship, although this cannot be guaranteed.

Apprentice School Administrator in Hythe:

The successful applicant will be employed by SEAC to complete an Advanced Business Administrator Apprenticeship on placement with an 11-19 Academy with Performing Arts and Rural Dimension status. It is a popular school of approximately 1300 students situated in rural surroundings on the edge of the Cinque Port of Hythe.

You will support the day to day running of school by carrying out a range of administrative tasks, including:

  • Reception duties for parents and visitors
  • Work in the student office including tracking of student information and filing
  • Reprographics work (photocopying and scanning)
  • Examinations support
  • Finance duties
  • Attendance tracking
  • Publishing agendas and follow up minutes
  • General support for letters, publishing of newsletters, communication with parents and stakeholders
  • Ordering of stock for teaching and site

Full training will be provided alongside your apprenticeship.

Future Prospects: The apprentice will be trained in a variety of tasks which will sit them to gain general business and administrative responsibility. Opportunities for full time employment will depend on vacancies and it is hoped that the successful candidate will be able to apply for future positions if they become available.
