Information to help schools promote Apprenticeships to students

Friday 12 April, 2019

Lots of young people still do not hear enough about apprenticeships and the genuine alternative that they provide for furthering education and gaining the value of incredible work experience. You are classed as an employee so you earn and learn at the same time.

Amazing Apprenticeships have launched ASK (Apprenticeship Support and Knowledge for schools and colleges). They connect schools, colleges and training providers with a National Apprenticeship Service delivery partner organisation in their area. This organisation will then work directly to assess your requirements and deliver your bespoke support package. This can range from school visits and talks, to apprenticeship resources or specific event support.

Free Resources:

  • They have a great range of inspirational and informative resources, helping to explain apprenticeships whether you’re a parent, teacher or thinking of becoming an apprentice yourself.

Live Broadcasts:

  • Schools and educational establishments in England can access the very latest apprenticeship information through live broadcasts – completely free of charge! Don’t worry if you can’t make the live broadcast – your students can watch on catch-up at a time to suit you.

School Workforce:

  • Thousands of schools across England are benefitting from apprenticeships as a way to recruit new staff and retrain or upskill existing staff of all ages and levels of experience, in a wide variety of roles. Find information on the hundreds of different apprenticeships available.
