This year, the SEAC Apprentices based at Hughenden Primary School were responsible for organising an event to raise money and awareness for Children in Need. The event took place throughout the day on Thursday 12th November 2015 and we are delighted to say, on behalf of all the apprentices, that they found it a fantastic experience.
Hughenden Primary School is currently supporting 6 of our Apprentices who are working towards various qualifications including; Melissa (Business and Administration Level 2), Adam and Emily (Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools Level 3) and Shannon, Tim and Zoe (Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools Level 2).
Melissa has provided us with her account of this fun and important day;
“The apprentices put on a range of exciting fundraising activities for Children in Need. Whether this was orienteering, photo shoots, biscuit decorating, cake sales through to obstacle courses, it was lovely seeing everyone getting involved.”
“We were very impressed with the children’s imaginative superhero costumes.”
“Honestly the highlight of the day for me was seeing everything come together and knowing that we are making a difference. Being trusted with the responsibility of having full control, gave us the determination to do a great job. I believe we all worked very well as a team. Everyone was given different tasks to complete and each of us contributed to the overall success of the fundraising.”
“Overall the day was a huge success. So far we have managed to raise over £900! For a small school, this is a great achievement! We are very grateful for all the support of our staff team throughout the day and hopefully the apprentices will be given the opportunity in the near future to lead another event.”
WELL DONE and CONGRATULATIONS on a great achievement from the whole SEAC team!
